ORC Week 3: The Beach Cabin Sleeper Attic Pillows and Decor

Hello Again!

It’s the ORC Week 3 already! I can’t believe how quickly these weeks are going by!!! Check out all of the progress over on ORC’s blog here. And, I’m really feeling like things are happening with the Beach Cabin Sleeper Attic, too! Continue reading to learn all about it…

We were planning to do an hour or so of work on the Beach Cabin this past weekend, but it was just too perfect of a day for hiking to be inside working. I was able to get back out to the Beach Cabin this week to continue work on the floors and paint over some more of the yellow. (For BEFORE photos, check out this post.)

Our amazing contractor will also be out there later this week to build the sailboat around the pole. Then, I’ll just have to paint it and add the mast. I had originally picked up some ticking stripe fabric for the patio furniture on the screened in porch. Given the 40 degree weather, I decided to use the fabric for the mast of the sailboat instead.

As I mentioned last week, I was really hoping for wallpaper on the end walls, but it is just more than I want to spend on the Beach Cabin attic (stay tuned, though, because I’m 95% sure I’m going to use it in our 1920’s home). I still was feeling like we needed some sort of design on the far wall, so I’m trying my hand at DIY Roman Shades using some other fabric I had also purchased for the porch.

BEACH CABIN SLEEPER ATTIC: PILLOWS I also found some pillows for the beds that I think will go with all of the quilts over on the Annie Selke’s outlet website. You can check them out here. (At the time of this posting, they were on Clearance.)

That’s about it for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your week!!!
