5 Swimsuits under $100 (and 2 Splurges)
Hi and Welcome Back! We just returned from our beach vacation and of course I didn’t have it together enough to update my swimsuits before the trip. At least the kids had new travel outfits. Of course, their favorite swimsuits were from last year’s list. (You can check that out here.) I guess swimsuits are sort of like vegetables… If you put them in front of the kids for long enough, they’ll grow to love them- haha!
A similar swimsuit post was published a couple years ago. With the help of some blogger friends, I put together a list of favorite swimsuits matched to different activities you may choose to participate in on your vacations. Check out our recommendations here.
While we all chose fairly timeless options, some of the suits have sold out and others are no longer available. It felt like an update was in order. Again, I relied on several friends for suggestions of places to shop for a swimsuit. Here are my top contenders. (I haven’t purchased one yet. Mostly because I didn’t have time before our trip but now I have time. Time, time, time until the end of June when it’s more consistently summer weather up here in Michigan.)

Swimsuits Under $100
This swimsuit looks stylish and seems like it would be fairly worry free- Perfect for paddle ball or swimming with the kids. Bonus points if your spring break falls over St. Patrick’s Day 😉 Other colors are also available.
This swimsuit looks like it has the benefits of a one-piece with the draw of a bikini. And the pricing is just right.
I have three suits from Boden already and love their classic designs. Besides, what would this list be without some navy stripes? You can check it out here.
Here is another cost effective option. I love everything scalloped so this is definitely a qualifier. It also comes in a lovely shade of pink. If you are looking for a high rise scallop bottom, this one comes in black and red with several tops to choose from as well. Or, if you prefer a light blue and white stripe, here is another possibility.
The olive color of this rashguard is top notch in my book. I already have one swimsuit from Athleta and I love the quality of the material. It seems like it is definitely made for people who play at the beach or are in the pool with their kids. I also appreciate the arm and neck coverage as well as the option to pair it with a patterned print on the bottom (like this) or even these comfy looking shorts. (Admittedly this entire look isn’t under $100, but the rashguard is and could easily be paired with already-owned bottoms.)
Splurge: Swimsuits over $100
We are a family that loves seersucker, so naturally I am drawn to this swimsuit. Better yet- it is a coverup and swimsuit in one! Easy, easy. One less thing to thrown on when heading out to the beach, one less thing to wash, and one less thing to pack. Win. Win. Win.
Okay- this one is a complete splurge. But it is so, so pretty that it had to be on the list. But, I can’t stop picturing kid Dorito handprints on it. Hmmm…this may be one to put away for the next adults-only vacation.
Where are you headed for spring break? We are going farther north yet, so I’ll just be saving this list in my back pocket until the summer weather makes its appearance here in Michigan. Same boat? Here is a pin…
