Ceiling Fans: Low-to-High Pricing
Welcome! Welcome to Mackinaw Road: Ceiling Fans Edition. After A LOT of searching, here are my Top 8 Ceiling Fans organized in low-to-high pricing.
It All Started with a Nursery
As you may know, I get to help with the nursery for my future niece and nephew (I’m so excited to meet these babies!!!) The nursery is coming along well, and it has been so much fun to get to visit with my sister-in-law every week! As part of the refresh, we decided to replace the current ceiling fan. Which sent me on a search for ceiling fans. And that is a bit of a rabbit hole, to be honest. Since I had already done the searching, searching, searching, I thought why not turn it into a post and share what I found? (Especially since my Vancouver photos are stuck on my camera until I find the cord- insert eye roll here, haha! In my defense, we have sort of been living here, there, and everywhere, so I know that it is somewhere…)
My sister and brother-in-law were in the market for a white ceiling fan. I limited myself to finding eight ceiling fans because I can get really, really excited about compiling lists. I also tend to love a lot of different styles, which can be overwhelming for everyone around me. So, I decided to focus, focus, focus…
And Progressed to the Beach Cabin
And I did… for the nursery. But then we headed to the Beach Cabin. As I was sitting in the living room, I was reintroduced to the fact that I don’t love our ceiling fan. We don’t have air conditioning, so the ceiling fan is very helpful for those hot July days and is a necessity.
And Led to this List
Of course, in this search, I also found fans that didn’t go in either the nursery or the Beach Cabin living room. That’s where this post comes in… again. They were too pretty not to share, so they were included in this list too.
I’ve organized the list by price, although the prices/sales do tend to fluctuate so you’ll have to click for yourself for exact pricing/ don’t take my word for it. Pricing also depends on sizing/lights/etc. In other words, these are estimate prices (and I rounded too) that will likely change based on a variety of factors. You may also want to note whether there is a light included or not. The nursery needed a light in the fan. The Beach Cabin could have one or not. Another factor that I learned from this search is that some fans are better for certain sized rooms. Some sites allow you to check a box for the size of room you want the ceiling fan to cover.

Anyway, here are the fans organized by low-to-high pricing…
Ceiling Fans: Low-to-High Pricing
I love the simple lines of this Hunter fan. Bonus that at the time I wrote this, it is available at Lowe’s, so you can go check it out in person! There is also an option with a light natural wood, which is lovely as well. $150
Here is another great option for a Hunter fan from Lowe’s. It’s a bit sleeker and more modern with 3 blades and a remote control. It also comes with wood blades. $158
I love this next option for a nursery, or living room, or laundry room… really anywhere. While it is a bit more pricey, it is currently (at the time of this writing) 50% off. $255 (from $507)
For a modern home or a whimsical twist in a more traditional home, this fan seems fun. $280
For a more traditional beach look, here is another option. It is definitely more of a statement than a blend-in kind of fan, but I think that is a-okay. $394
For a low profile, this flush mount ceiling fan seems like a great option. The graphite color looks as though it could be categorized into a “beach wood” grouping… maybe? For an additional cost, it has the option to be “smart” with hookups to all of your favorite helpers (Alexa, Google Assistant, Nest, etc.). $580
This fan feels a bit beach-modern to me with the white and wood tones. At least, that would likely be my first choice combination. But, if you like the style but are going for another aesthetic, there are plenty of options to choose from. $581
Remember this photo that I posted on Instagram from our Bahamas trip? Well, here is a similar fan. I think it could be just perfect for a Lake House! $850
Side note: Keep following along- you can even subscribe for updates in the side bar. The nursery reveal is coming soon! In the meantime, I will just have to stockpile the ceiling fan for the Beach Cabin. When you live in an early 1900’s home, you never know when you’re going to need the electrician or plumber to come out to repair something. As such, I’ve learned to be ready with supplies so I’m not scrambling and choosing items I don’t love but do the trick. And if you’re here for the Travel section, I promise the next post will be all about Vancouver! In the interim, if you’re looking for some Canada info, you can check out this post about Banff, one of our favorite places!
