Gift Guide for Toddlers
This Gift Guide for Toddlers was so much fun to put together! Toddler toys are adorable. Our family is obsessed with my niece and nephew who will be 16 months at Christmas time. This list was put together with them in mind. It is amazing to me how quickly I have forgotten what 16 month olds are interested in. Fortunately, some of it came back to me. Even more fortunate is that my sister shared some of E&C’s favorite things. Oh, and a few other things were thrown on the list because they were either pretty or looked like fun things to try! Definitely read the descriptions and age ranges to see if these gifts will work for the toddler in your life.

Gift Guide for Toddlers
Mice– Okay- these mice! They’re the cutest. How perfect are a brother mouse and sister mouse for the twins? I love that they are nostalgic and can be kept as keepsakes (but played with in the meantime for sure!). I plan to buy E&C new sets every Christmas. And maybe for birthdays too. And if there is a special occasion. (I mean, the brother and sister hiker mice for when they are a little older… come on!) The Counting House has the best collection- we are so lucky to have a store in town with such adorable baby items. If you don’t live in or near Grand Rapids, you can always shop the store online.
Strolley–I also love this rattan doll stroller (that easily converts to a shopping cart!) from The Counting House. Of course I do. It’s rattan.
Speedster- For those speedy toddlers in your life… I love the Speedster Plane and the classic Speedster Race Car.
Sunday Brunch– When our kids were little and before she and my brother-in-law moved, we used to go visit my sister in Chicago. It was so much fun and almost always involved walking to brunch or breakfast. Now that she lives close to us, maybe we’ll resurrect the Sunday morning brunch. Or, we can at least pretend with the felt version.
Ball Pit- Who doesn’t love a ball pit? And having a home version is perfect for only sharing germs with those in your own house- haha! My sister had the best idea to have their slide go into the ball pit. The twins love it! The one linked comes with 200 balls! This is another option – it looks like it maybe has a zippered top too, which could be handy for easily putting it away and containing the balls if needed.
Slide– Speaking of slides, they seem like a sure thing for helping to wear out a busy toddler. I love this cute option. And this one would be great for easily folding up and putting away.
Tunnel- This is perfect for indoor and outdoor play. Another great toy to get that toddler energy out!
Parachute– There are so many games you can play with a parachute! I just can’t remember what they are right now. We never owned one, but our kids always loved them at music time and other events.
Swing- E&C love their swings. N was the same way! He could stay on a swing for a half hour when he was little and it made him so happy. E&C each have a swing like this one. This swing is cute too!
Elephant Nursery Rocker- This is an item that we had for our kids and my sister has for E&C, too. And we would both recommend them. All 4 of the kids love(d) to ride on these plush rockers.
Anywhere Chairs– Another item that both F&N (we still have theirs) and E&C have and all enjoy are the Anywhere Chairs. We pull ours up from the playroom for the kids to sit on in the living room when opening presents during their family birthday parties.
First Table & Chairs– My sister mentioned how much E&C use their kid-sized table and chairs. I had forgotten how much we F&N used theirs when they were little to eat and play and craft. I love the sleek design and color options of this first table and chairs.
Busy Board- I ordered this Busy Board for E&C for Christmas. I love that it provides multiple fine-motor activities, shapes, numbers, and of course, their names. I haven’t received it yet but am excited to see it in person!
Modern Blocks– While we’re talking about learning toys, these blocks look both sleek and educational! Not only can kiddos practice stacking, they can also become familiar with letters, numbers, and shapes. Or, you could give this option that offers blocks in Spanish or Mandarin.
Farm Sounds Puzzle– Toddlers mimicking animals is one of the cutest things! On this farm sounds puzzle, they pull the puzzle piece out to hear the farm animal sound (and hopefully make their own sounds too). We had the Melissa and Doug sound puzzles and our kids enjoyed them. I think that they are also great for building up those fine motor skills.
Little People Travel Together– My sister said that E&C love playing with their Little People toys. They are perfect for little toddler grips, and I love this set because our family is hopeful that we will be able to “travel together” again in 2021.
We Go Together Book- This personalized book is about two companions of your choice (siblings, friends, … twins) and celebrates togetherness while exploring all the world has to offer. All of our kids also really like(d) this touch and feel books series. And this books series is also a favorite of E&C.
Happy Shopping for those cute little toddlers in your life! Oh, and my sister also recommended this vacuum, which would be a great gift to toddler parents! It helps keep the floor clean and also has provided endless entertainment for the twins as they chase it around- haha!
