Bubble Lights for the Bedroom
Hi! We are getting so close to sharing the winter living room. I am also working on a post about all of the green paint color samples that graced our kitchen on the quest to find the perfect green color for the space. Annnnd… we are playing musical beds! This somehow led to a rabbit hole of an internet search to find the perfect bubble light for our daughter’s room. Read on for our round up of the bubble lights.

Our daughter has always leaned more modern in her design and decor taste. We had been brainstorming ways to incorporate this into her room and landed on updated ceiling lighting. As a reminder, this is what her room looks like now.
It is currently more on the vintage side of things. A modern bubble light will definitely help bring this room into the 21st century. We did order a modern bubble light, but it isn’t working. While we are trying to figure that out, here were some of our other top contenders. There are some really beautiful options out there (including this one) but these bubble lights can get pricey quickly too. We tried to find options that were in the $100-$200 range. We were mostly successful.

Our daughter immediately eliminated all of the frosted glass bubble lights options. I did warn her that there would be more cleaning involved (for her) with the clear versions, but she didn’t seem to mind. Side note: some of the bubble lights linked above do come in clear OR frosted glass options. Some even come in a bronze option, so it may be worth a click in order to check out all of your options.
Our daughter is also going to get our queen bed (which is very traditional) and her full size bed is going to her brother. His twin bed will be going to the cottage (more fun plans for that soon!). In order to attempt to make her “new” queen bed on the modern side of traditional, I think I am going to paint it black. We made a little design board, and (fingers crossed) it is going to work great! I’ll keep you posted! Oh, and I think we might be able to keep a bit of beachy coastal theme going on in there so that makes me very happy.
We are still working on rug options. I’m debating whether anything other than a patterned rug will work in there with the bed and lighting. She will also likely need a new dresser unless anyone (please!) can figure out how to make her current one work in the space. (You can see what is currently in the room in this post.) A new side table and task lamp, and we should be good to go! I am hoping that wall color will work just fine. It only has a touch of grey in it. Otherwise, we will likely paint the room with Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace.
Thanks for reading and have a great week!
