Updates, LTK, & Sunglasses- Mackinaw Road
Thank you for being here for this truly random post! I’ve included beach cottage updates, birthday plans, compilation boards for shopping, and my favorite sunglasses.

Updates
We are still deciding on our exterior beach cottage color. I grabbed another sample pot and about 20 additional paint swatches. As I do. We will likely make our decision at the 11th hour, which is very “on brand” for us.
The bathroom vanity is coming along. I’m picking up the countertop and sink this week. The wall mount faucet is in and I’m loving it already.
A goal for this spring is to paint the white-washed wood in the beach cabin loft a solid white. While I was getting the paint swatches, I also picked up a gallon of primer and Sherwin Williams Extra White. I figure if I have all of the supplies ready to go maybe I’ll actually meet my goal.
We are celebrating a birthday this weekend. Our birthday banner has seen better days and is entirely worn out from the drive-by birthdays last spring. I updated it to this one. Inspired by The Counting House, I also purchased a disco ball for some magical and festive sun spots. It will probably stay out all spring and summer.

This past month, I made several compilation boards that I shared over on Like to Know It. The sale days were fairly quick but they usually come around again, so I thought I’d share them here as well.
Below is a round up of choices from the Pottery Barn Warehouse Sale. I included some products that we already have in our home as well as some that are on the wish list.
You can see this beautiful buffalo check (in black) in the beach cottage at Christmas time. I think that the light blue would be perfect for summer!
We have the curtains in our living room and will likely be purchasing more to complete the look on the opposite side of the room.

West Elm was also part of the sale. Here are my top choices. R would really like to incorporate a coffee table back into the living room. Both tables shown are top contenders. I’m really missing our couch in the dining room. (I’m likely the only one who is.) Adding a chair in the corner might be a nice option for a quiet(er) morning with coffee and a break from Grizzy and The Lemmings. Also, I think I’m becoming a pink person. Maybe it’s just the season.

Madewell had a sale recently too. I purchased these jeans and I love the fit. I own their road tripper jeggings which are sold out, but I’d guess the road tripper jeans may fit similarly. Their t-shirts are perfect for the casual spring and summer that I plan to have. The list wouldn’t be completed without some stripes and flutter sleeves.

Sunglasses
With all of this nice weather, I have pulled out the sunglasses again. I purchased these Le Spec sunglasses from Nordstrom Rack last year and am still loving them! When I looked, they were sold out, but these look fairly similar. I’ve also had Quay sunglasses, and I really liked those too. I can’t remember what the style was anymore, but I really like these.
