Beach Cabin: Serena and Lily Bedding
The Serena and Lily Bedding arrived for the Beach Cabin and I couldn’t be more excited! Even the 8-year old said “Wow this is so nice!” which made me very happy and then a little apprehensive that I’ll soon find Doritos residue on it.

But on to happier things! This coverlet came just in time for a warm week out at the lake. I love the blue and white stripes and stitching details. Because Michigan has been especially moody this summer, I decided to keep the duvet at the foot of the bed for cooler nights.
The tassels are a favorite design element as well and add a bit of whimsy.
The colors fit perfectly with the rest of the cabin. Because our bedroom is on the main floor, it is nice to have everything coordinate. The striping and tassels add some movement without being too bold.
As with all of their bedding, this Serena and Lily bedding feels very timeless and like it has been a part of the cabin forever.
I’m officially hooked!
The Rest of It
When we first purchased the beach cabin, we did a small overhaul, changing out the built-in dresser hardware and replacing the sconces. You know by now that I have a difficult time keeping modern elements out of our design, even though this 1912 beach cabin is far from modern. It just keeps it a little more interesting for me when I get to add something a bit unexpected. The track lighting is something that I’d love to switch out in the future. It seems like a daunting task (even though we would definitely hire someone who knows what he/she is doing), so for now I’ll just continue cropping it out of the photos. The headboard was a fairly inexpensive purchase that added a softer feel to the wooded room. I think that the jute rug maybe came with the cabin. And that’s about all this cabin bedroom needed!
