Day-to-Night Kitchen Halloween Decorations
Hi there! Over the years, it has been fun to come up with different Autumn Kitchen ideas. This year, I thought it would be fun to try some Day-To Night Halloween Decorations on our kitchen shelves. I came home with a bunch of fun items for this post in collaboration with The Counting House to set up a little Halloween day-to-night situation on our open shelving.

Daytime Autumn Kitchen
We stuck with a color palette of mainly black, white, and terracotta for this halloween decorations project.
The terracotta jack-o-lanterns are adorable and just the right amount of autumn combined with Halloween for me! I also love color of the the faux mums against the black vase. (And since I can barely keep mums alive outside in the ground, faux is the way to go for me!) The wool felted pumpkins are great additions to the shelves. They add in a touch of fall and keep the shelves from being overly Halloween-y.
The shelves wouldn’t be the same without the owl adding subtle interest and keeping an eye on things. How perfect is the Harvest Moon Candle-Black Tumbler for this fall vignette?!
I love the functionality of the decorated shelves too! The stylish footed wood tray accommodates the candle and the crock filled with necessary cooking tools. The white reactive glaze mini bakers are ready to serve some brie or to be used as soup bowls. The black containers house the coffee and tea as well as pulling double duty as stands for the terracotta jack-o-lanterns. Even the gingham napkins tie in with the color scheme.
Look at how cute the jack-o-lanterns are as they transition to late afternoon!
Nighttime Autumn Kitchen
These Autumn/Halloween shelves also change so well as daytime turns to night! It is the ideal ratio of cute:spooky for me! I added a moon for ambiance. (I was even able to choose the moon phase by clicking through with the remote!) The 8-year old was quick to request that it be put back in his room, but I left it up as long as he would allow. I used the velcro command strips (my answer to everything) to hang it for the photos. A little witch’s hat thrown on the counter and the nighttime scene is complete.
