Spring Vacation Outfit Packing List
We are headed out on our longest trip as a family. Nine days away, no access to convenient laundry. This most certainly calls for a Vacation Outfit Packing List. The weather is supposed to be in the mid 60s. We will be walking a lot. Hopefully, some light hiking too. Nothing too fancy but maybe an outfit or two for a nicer dinner. Anyway, here is the packing list. (I’ll probably refer to a version of it for the kids too but kids can really get away with any outfit. They already have their favorites that they wear regardless of the weather, so there is that lol.) I like that many of the options can be intermixed for multiple outfits. (I feel like that is a “a thing” that people say. While true, the real truth is that this list is about as specific as I can get. Putting actual outfits together is planning a bit too far in advance/overwhelming for me.)

Luggage/Totes/Bags
We are still working out the details of our luggage situation. I have my eye on this luggage. We are due for some new suitcases due to broken zippers/ 3 of the 4 of us sharing one large piece of luggage. If I end up purchasing just one new suitcase, I love this classic piece.
I will also bring a tote for the airport and maybe longer day trips (although then I just become the dumping ground for all the collected things that day. I already have a tote, but if I didn’t, this everyday tote would definitely be on my wishlist. I love that it comes with a crossbody option.
Speaking of crossbody, a crossbody purse is perfect for travel. I have been using something similar to this for quite some time now.
Footwear- 3 pairs
Running shoes for working out and light hiking are always a must for me. This is maybe my 5th pair of Nike Revolutions. I love them!
White sneakers offer a lot of versatility and will also definitely be making the trip. I like that I can wear them with pants, jumpsuits, even dresses.
I will likely bring these slip ons too. Just in case we end up having a beach walk day or the weather becomes unseasonably warm (yes please!)
Bottoms- 6 pairs
Since we are working our way from the feet to the head, let’s talk about bottoms.
Of course, my favorite joggers will be making the trip. They will likely be part of the plane outfit.
These joggers will also be coming along. I love that they can be worn to work out or just for a leisurely stroll.
Althleisure is great, especially when the bottoms can be dressed way up! I always pack these pants for travel.
A pair of jeans will also be packed. The Demi boot is a favorite for mild weather.
A lightweight pair of slacks is a good idea for its adaptability to be dressed up or down.
Finally, a skirt might be unnecessary but it doesn’t take up a ton of room so why not? I will use it in place of shorts on the warmer days that I keep envisioning.
Tops- 6 shirts, 1 sweater, 1 lightweight jacket, & a fleece jacket
J.Crew is my go-to for simple, classic tops. I will be packing two long sleeves (black and white) and two short sleeves (navy and gray).
I’m also going to throw in something sleeveless just in case of that much hoped for warm front.
A striped boatneck shirt would be a classic addition.
A button down is always a nice option.
A sweater for chillier days.
Either this sweater blazer or this lightweight jacket will make the cut.
And a zip up fleece like this Target jacket that I own or this pullover.
Dress
A dress feels optional (especially since we are traveling with kids and likely not going anywhere too fancy). But, I do love a good dress and I inadvertently found three that I love. Not just for travel. For all occasions.
Sunglasses
I also plan to pack a pair of sunglasses like these. Done and done.
