Gift Guide: Gifts for 10 Year Old Boys

Okay, I lied. The Gifts for Him gift guide was, in fact, not the most difficult guide to create. Even with the help of our 10 year old, this Gift Guide was more challenging for me. Naturally, there were several gaming and gaming gift card requests. But you don’t really need me, or a guide, for a lot of that stuff. So, here is a list, including some gaming things.

As the weather gets colder here in the midwest, it was on our minds to add some games to our basement that do not require a screen. Options are always a good thing, especially with 10 year olds. This basketball hoop is so fun- we all love challenging each other to a quick game. The built in scoreboard keeps track of the time and scoring (yay for avoiding sibling score keeping arguments!).

Another great basketball game is this tabletop Electronic Movin’ Hoops. You can shoot straight on or choose to have the hoop move. Again, it keeps score and also has a 60 second time clock.

Skeeball is such a fun and classic arcade game. This portable one is easy to play and doesn’t take up a too much real estate in our basement.

I found this 3D Printing Pen kit and think it would be a fun surprise (not on the list) gift. You can create and then draw your creations in 3D. There is a stencil book and Project Guide as well.

How fun are these Red Racers?!? I love the 2-pack option because it really is the more enjoyable with a friend. We have a snow tube from this brand and love it! It feels very luxurious, sledding-wise 😉

We have given our son this Nike By You gift card previously. It is fun to be able to create/personalize your very own pair of Nikes. You can choose a gift card or send it via email.

I secretly wish that we had summer birthdays/occasions. Our kids love to be outside in the summer and the gift ideas seem so much easier. They both enjoyed trying out their friends’ surfboards last summer. Having their own and allowing all four kids to catch the waves at the same time would be even that much more entertaining!

Our son plays soccer and enjoys kicking around at home. While my foot skills have greatly improved, this rebounder board would likely be more helpful for his skill development. The board can be flipped for several different drills/skills practice.

On the topic… This smart ball soccer ball is intriguing.

Lego prices can get out of control the older the kids get and the more specific and elaborate the designs become. This brand seems more reasonable and I love the Camp Nou Soccer Stadium option.

Okay, I’ve put it off long enough… here are some gaming items. This wireless gaming headset is on the list. And so is this controller.
