Gifts for Babies & Toddlers
Our newest nephew is turning is one this month! Time really does fly 🙂 I got a little carried away with the options for this sweet one year old, especially with the holidays quickly approaching as well. There are so many lovely and wonderful toys and activities out there for these little tykes. As always, read the age recommendations and labels and check with the parents if they are slightly out of the age range.

Art Toys
Food safe and edible paints are the way to go with this age range. I still remember (or maybe have seen photos?) of a blue food safe paint that my mom made us when we were little. This set takes that extra step out of the way and provides a great way for your little ones to explore their artistic side.
Stacking Toys
Stacking toys are such a classic baby toy for motor development. I love this silicone version with the lovely colors or the classic wood stacking toy with the koala on top.
Fidget Toys
Fidget toys aren’t just for the elementary age kids. This brightly colored pop toy will be sure to keep your little one’s attention. I also love this travel cube with its subtle colors and multiple activities including buttons and knobs. This rain stick looks both engaging and soothing for your little one.
Musical Toys
For your musically-inclined baby/toddler, this set looks so fun! There are multiple noise making options for ultimate enjoyment (probably the toddler’s more than the parent’s ;-). For those who like to incorporate design-forward toddler instruments, this piano is for you. This popular story and music box is a bit of a splurge but is sure to be a hit for years to come. A squirrel-in-an-acorn musical pull toy– how cute!
Puzzles
Puzzles are always a good idea and this chunky, woodland one is just so sweet. Maybe this isn’t exactly a puzzle, but this activity table has a little bit of everything!
Pretend Play
Fishing is top of the mind in our household with our 11-year old’s love for the sport. I love this adorable fishing boat and fishing accessory set for his younger cousin. Better yet, no real worms are involved! These stackable bath boats are also adorable.
On-the-Go Toys
For babies on the go (and probably well into their 1 year old year), this ride on toy looks so fun and is of the more aesthetically-pleasing variety. This is little 5-in-1 tricycle that grows with your toddler is super cute too! I love a two-for-one situation, and this activity walker/busy board fits the bill. The next recommendation isn’t really “on the go,” but it still may create that overall feel. Nonetheless, give me (I mean, your toddlers) allll the Frenchie, Boston Terrier, and Boxer toys.
Clothing
Now is the time for being able to give clothing gifts that they are sure to love/will absolutely not have an opinion about. Living in a northern state, having warm feet throughout these colder months is essential. These booties look like they will do the trick! This woodland animal zip up looks so cozy. And who can pass up an outfit with the words “henley” and “elbow patches” in the title? When you have older cousins who score 100% on the athleisure scale, a matching set seems very appropriate. Given that we live in Michigan, it seems only fitting to gift a bunting from a company created by a Michigan mom who wanted to provide high quality outdoor gear for children.
Blankets & Playmats
This elephant blanket that can be personalized is the sweetest! I also love this woodland playmat for our “Up North” toddler.
