Gift Guide: Gift Ideas for 11 Year Old Boys
In a shocking turn of events, one of my hardest-to-shop for made a list and I don’t disagree with anything on it. It is quite versatile, ranging from technology (of course) to fishing to sports cards. As an added bonus, it all (minus one of my add-ons) comes in below $100.

Gift Ideas for 11-12 Year Old Boys
Our son loves using these as fidgets. Having tried the tricks that he is doing with them, I can agree that they do take high level hand-eye coordination. This is the next one on his list.
I can’t tell you how happy it makes us to have a card collector in the family. R and I both have our basketball cards that we collected as children. There isn’t anything quite like opening the pack of cards, hoping for the best.
Our 11 year old went through a brief BMX bike phase this past fall. He added this scooter to the list.
We have been so fortunate to have had a beautiful fall here in Michigan and our son has been able to get so much fishing in!! He added these lures to his list.
Our son’s bedroom has housed LED lights but I took them down when we were rearranging his room. He has wanted them back ever since and selected these. ‘Tis the season for allllll the lights I guess.
An 11 year old boy’s list would not be complete without a couple of gaming asks. This wireless Playstation controller does look pretty sleek and was a #1 Bestseller on Amazon at time of this post.
Because we live in Michigan and will be moving soccer indoors (technically, futsal) and it will inevitably be -10 at some point(s) in the next few months, it is fun for 11 year old boys to have a video game version (not a replacement for the real deal, of course, but fun nonetheless). I believe that this is the latest and greatest.
11 Year-Old Gift Ideas- Mom Additions
Okay- these were not on his list but I thought they could be nice as part of a gift of a stocking stuffer. Both of our children have identical air pods. Naturally, our son’s was the one to get the little marker dot to be able to tell them apart. This pod jacket pro is a much nicer way of discerning between the two.
You know socks are nice when your older sister comments on them as do friends who are riding in the car. Our son received these socks as part of a gift this summer and verifies that they are so comfy. (It is also nice because it gives me a break from trying to figure out whose Nike socks are whose ;-).
As mentioned previously, our 11 year old loves to fish. He often tells us that he wishes he had a camera to document the fish he catches. (We have worked hard to ensure it is a catch and release – not a catch and bring home for the fish tank- situation lol.) I love this camera for his fishing documentation and traveling as well. (This gift is the splurge of the bunch.)
