Cozy Autumn Living Room
Hi there! I’m back with our Autumn Living Room Mantel and Shelves. And a few other Autumn decorations thrown in for good measure too. All brought to you with the help of my funny and curious 7-year old (complete with cheesy Cheeto fingers). He had a lot of fun with the camera timer and jumping in to create blurry “ghost” appearances. But, you’re here for the Autumn Living Room decorations (sans the ghost shots), so let’s get to it!

Mackinaw Road Monday: Fall Mantel Sneak Peek, Masks, and More
Hello! And Hello Fall. I usually treat September like summer, but the weather is making that almost impossible this year. The Lake is higher and wavier than its usual still-as-glass September water. So, this Mackinaw Road Monday has a little summer and a whole lot of fall in it. I’m showing you a Fall Mantel Sneak Peak, a clever way to store and display Masks, and More.

Kitchen Shelf Styling- Autumn Decor
Hi there! The weather turned suddenly earlier this week. It was the perfect motivation to try out some autumn decor on our open kitchen shelves, courtesy of The Counting House. Kitchen Shelf Styling is a great way to refresh the space as the seasons change. Before we begin, let’s give a collective good-bye to these late summer shelves in our modern traditional kitchen. (You can also check out this post for the Spring Shelves and this post for the Winter Shelves.)

DIY Design: Cane Console Makeover Look for Less
Good morning! I’ve been slowly working on a DIY Custom Cane Console Makeover for Less. I’ve been pinning cane consoles for such a long time now. And Farrow and Ball’s Down Pipe for even longer. Read on to see how I transformed a Cane Console Table from Target based on Cane Tables that are considerably more costly! *This post contains affiliate links, meaning that if you click and purchase, I may receive some compensation. Mackinaw Road Monday: Outdoor Living
Hi there! July 4th may unofficially mark the halfway point of summer, but there is still plenty of warm weather and outdoor living to be had here in Michigan. I will argue always that September is the best month. But, before I get ahead of myself, let’s talk about outdoor spaces, beach accessories, Barbados, and a fun summer drink.

Summer Salad: Farro, Feta, and Blueberry Salad
If you are looking for the perfect summer salad, you have come to the right place! I loooooove salads!! R jokes with me because I almost always order salads when we are out for dinner. This is for several reasons, but mostly because I often don’t like to buy alllllll of the ingredients that go into a salad. That’s why this one is so perfect! It is simple with very few grocery items.

One Room Challenge | White Kitchen Nook | Updates
Hi! Guess what?! There are actually 8 weeks of the One Room Challenge this year! Which had me thinking that we should probably just paint the adjacent living room white. (It is actually all one room with no divider between the nook and the living room, so we’d still be following the ONE room part of the challenge.) R gave a very definitive NO to that idea. Baby steps. However, that didn’t stop my eyes from drifting into that part of the room. There are a few updates that won’t really have the WOW factor of painting it all white but that will definitely up this room’s game a bit.
