DIY Ottoman for the Beach Cabin
When your friend shows up with her kids and a staple gun, you know it’s going to be a great DIY morning. This morning, we were attempting to recover an old storage ottoman that had been through all of the things (stains, dirt, babies using it as a pull up, kids using it as an indoor trampoline, etc).

An Airbnb-Inspired Fridge Obsession
**This post contains affiliate links, meaning that if you click and purchase, I may receive some compensation. Thank you! Hello there! Have you ever stayed an an Airbnb and obsessed over the fridges (or maybe even just online like I do)? It only took about two days after we purchased the Beach Cabin for the decision to be made that a Retro Fridge was a must for our on-the-small-side kitchen. While I took a minor break from refrigerator shopping to choose cabinet colors and paint them, my mind quickly returned to obsessing over the fridge. For almost 6 months now (correction: close to a year) , I have had…

Friday Finds on Mackinaw Road: Venmo, Viceroy Hotels, and a Cabin Update
Hi Everyone! Happy Spring (a little late). Here are some of the Friday Finds I’m loving this week. I hemmed and hawed but finally gave in because we went in on a parent gift with my husband’s sisters and they both use it and, well, it was pretty darn convenient. Then, I started asking babysitters if they used it… and most did! Again, it was pure convenience to text when we were five minutes away and then…

Friday Finds on Mackinaw Road: Frank Lloyd Wright tours, AirZoo, and a Beach Cabin update
Hello and Happy Monday! Once again, I missed Friday, so this is coming a few days late. We had a school play and soccer followed by some sick kiddos at home, but here’s hoping that everyone is on the up-and-up now. I hope that you all had a relaxing weekend and are ready for a productive week that will hopefully fly by! Spring is in the air, which means we’re ready to get out of the house~ (at least I am! The 5 year old wanted to play dinosaurs in the basement on a 60 degree day… and the dinosaurs can’t even talk… just growl). While I did convince him…

Philipsburg, Montana, Philipsburg Blue, and How They are Related
My brother has always been the adventurous one- in fact, at one point, he accused me (the definite homebody) for not preparing our parents at all for what was to come. So, it shouldn’t have been a surprised when he headed west to Montana after college. Just his packed car, his dog, Georgie, and hit the open road. Now that was brave in my book. He quickly settled into life in the small town of Philipsburg, working during the week and camping and fishing on the weekends. Aside from the somewhat regular June text that it was snowing, he seemed to enjoy being out west. I tagged along with my…
