We currently have an 8 (almost 9) year old in the house. He has opinions. I’m hoping these gifts are not only approved by him but also by other 7-9 year olds too. Side note: my tween daughter will jump in on some of these activities we already own too. This list includes past tried-and-true favorites as well as new ideas. Gift Guide for Toddlers
This Gift Guide for Toddlers was so much fun to put together! Toddler toys are adorable. Our family is obsessed with my niece and nephew who will be 16 months at Christmas time. This list was put together with them in mind. It is amazing to me how quickly I have forgotten what 16 month olds are interested in. Fortunately, some of it came back to me. Even more fortunate is that my sister shared some of E&C’s favorite things. Oh, and a few other things were thrown on the list because they were either pretty or looked like fun things to try! Definitely read the descriptions and age ranges…

Gift Guide for School-Aged Kids
Good morning and Welcome to the Gift Guide for School-Aged Kids! I asked for some input from my 7 & 10 year olds, but then I ended up going rogue and making the final list while they were at school. Nonetheless, this Gift Guide was made with their ages in mind.

Mackinaw Road Monday: Mother’s Day Gift Guide
Hi there! Well… April is almost over. It only felt like it lasted 3 years- lol! Oh, and it’s not Monday. But, as has become my mantra lately… close enough. I don’t have 3 ingredients for this dish? Close enough. We have been slowly getting in the swing of things. We love a good birthday parade. Online school is still challenging but fine. The sun came back- yay! Our Stay at Home order was extended until May 15 in Michigan, so we will have to get creative with wishing our moms a Happy Mother’s Day, but I am so grateful that I get to be with my kids on the…

Top 5 Posts of 2016
Since I love a good countdown and have been seeing quite a few Top 5 Posts of 2016, I thought it might be entertaining (and, admittedly, a bit self-indulgent) to look back, too, especially because I’m grounded until March. (Have a mentioned that? Ha!) Granted, the statistics are from a whole 3 months, but still… Here we go…

Gift Guide for the Traveler in Your Life, Part II
Welcome Back! Well, there is officially snow, and it is officially sticking to the ground, which signals the end to our lovely fall days but also the excitement that surrounds the holiday season. Now, where did we leave off? *This post contains affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share some commission. Oh, yes, my great love of Mark and Graham. I just can’t get enough of their classy, functional, and fun travel selection. No one likes to lose their luggage and no one likes scrambling to fill out the paper tags that the airlines provide, so some durable and classic tags would be a welcome gift under the…

Popular Travel Gifts
I always struggle with what gifts to purchase for our family and friends when on a trip. After opening my parents’ cupboard to be greeted with an inordinate amount of travel mugs we had given to them, I decided we really needed to branch out. Wandering around, trying to find the perfect gifts, and then ending up buying something in the airport just wasn’t working for my Type A personality any longer. So, I felt a good list was in order (naturally). Oh, and this isn’t researched; these are just gifts that are popular on my list.
